Review - Xen-Tan

Xen Tan should come with gloves. Other than that, I have no complaint on this fab self tan. Loved by celebs such as the Drew Barrymore and Nicolette Sheridon, this fake tan has taken the UK by storm [with a massive PR campaign to boot]. The brand is currently occupying a spot on the selfridges temporary site [opposite YSL ] and has some very enthusiastic [but friendly] salespeople to talk you through the range. According to Samantha Chapman [see below post] her sister swears by it and as a make-up artist extradionaire, I eagerly put it to the test.

That evening, a quick application [goes on well although does not look overly dark - this could be because I am so used to the Fake Bake lotion that dries very dark] but in the morning I washed it off [less mess on the sheets than Fake Bake, too!] and was a lovely olive colour. Someone I had never previously spoken to at work that day even asked if I had been on holiday, so thats always a good sign! The hands are bloomin' orange though and three minutes with a scourer did nothing to help. I will use gloves next time. 3 days later, though, and the colour is still lovely, after just one application. I will put on another at Sunday. Unfortuantely, my face is breaking out still, so I'm leaving the face tanner for now, although I might try it on Sunday - brown body/ white face combo is sooo last season ;)

Xen-Tan from £15.95 for the face bronzer
